The interview I did with Nick Tong as just been put up on CFFramworks.com . I'm really happy with how it came out, so I hope you enjoy listening to it.
We had a good chat, mostly about Transfer , but also about frameworks in general.
Let me know if you have trouble understanding my Australian accent. ;o)

I have trouble understanding your Australian accent over IM :->
Seriously, great preso – really enjoyed it. I think there are a few reasons not to use Transfer (or most ORMs) you missed like if a shop only uses SPs for db access, but great intro and interesting the focus on caching – very cool!
Nick and Kola are doing a great job – it is very cool to hear a bunch of framework authors talk frameworks in their own words as everyone is saying the same kind of things in their own way which makes it much easier for people to "get" the concepts.
I would ask why this shop is using all stored procedures. I think many people do because they think they should but have not really considered what benefit this is offering them. I would argue that in many cases it offers little to no benefit and, in fact, can be a hindrance. So, whether or not that was left off intentionally, I agree with its absence.
Fair point!
Thanks for a great interview. Shame I couldn’t make it!
It was indeed a great interview, thanks again Mark.
@Peter – I agree, the more people talk the more people listen.
